“If you‘ve never tried a magnetic dryer vent coupling, you really need to. In every home I’ve ever owned, I always struggle with getting the dryer vent attached, and sliding the dryer back into place without crushing the pipe. This magnetic unit lets you do full hard piping up to the coupling, then have a short length of flexible line from the dryer to the magnet. As you slide the dryer into place, the magnet jumps to the coupling and seals itself perfectly. This particular kit has a flange type design. My dryer vent routes straight down through a hole in the floor (to the crawl space). I tried hard to make the hole as small/tight as possible to seal out from critters/insects, but it’s not perfect. The flange design here makes it so I now have a perfect seal. Because the thing connects/disconnects so easily, I’m ten times more likely to pull the dryer out and actually keep the vent line clean from lint on a regular basis (like you’re supposed to but nobody ever does). I recommend this 100%. It’s a huge step up compared to the old school ways of hooking up a dryer vent.”
